Art Deco garniture in sterling silver with hardstone mounts. Made by Lebkuecher in Newark, ca. 1920. This garniture comprises 2 candlesticks and 1 covered centerpiece bowl with flower arranger.
Each candlestick: tapering shaft on stepped dome foot in green hardstone, which in turn is mounted to sterling silver support with 4 bracket supports. Shaft surmounted by green hardstone, which in turn is surmounted by urn socket with rolled-over rim. Mounted to both sides are silver leaves supporting pyramid-form red hardstone. Raised and stylized leaves on shaft base. Other ornament includes bands of flowers and leaf-and-dart.
Centerpiece bowl: bowl is silver with curved sides with flared foot. It is mounted to stepped support in green hardstone, which in turn is mounted to silver base with 4 bracket feet. Mounted to both sides are silver leaves supporting pyramid-form red hardstone. Raised and stylized leaves at bowl base and scalloped foot rim. Other ornament includes bands of flowers. Dome cover is flower arranger with open scrolls and foliage, and berry finial on green hardstone knop.
An original design that updates the Arts & Crafts tradition of mixing silver and stone. Hallmarked. Excellent condition.
