Aesthetic sterling silver soup ladle. Made by GT Sadtler & Sons in Baltimore, ca 1870. Tapering handle and oval bowl. Engraved stylized ornament including leaves and flowers. A great period piece by a lesser known regional maker. Terminal has engraved name. Hallmarked “G. T. Sadtler & Sons” for George T. Sadtler, who ran the family firm from1860-88. Very good condition.
