This is a lovely pair of sterling silver three light candelabra by the premier silversmiths at Tiffany in a timeless design. Each stands on a circular base with a tapering urn-shaped stem and with urn-shaped bobeches. The base, stem and sockets are each trimmed with banding. The stem supports the removable scrolling arms, which are fluted to accentuate their curves, and each bobeche has a removable circular wax-pan. The elegant styled pair of candelabra are a classic shape and style but with a modern flair. Each is excellent condition with a pristine surface and measures approx. 15 1/4" high, with bases approx. 4 7/8" in diameter, and together weigh approx. 66 troy ounces. Each is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words makers, Sterling Silver, pattern number 21981, and the letter M for Louis deBebian Moore, Tiffany's president from 1938-1956. These beautiful three-light candelabra have a richness and sophistication that is utterly timeless. Exceptional quality and design make this pair an heirloom; a perfect gift for newlyweds.
