| An Antique American Art Nouveau Crystal and Sterling Silver Mounted Inkwell with a matching Sterling Silver Pedestal Stand. The square crystal inkwell has a brilliant cut design on the bottom and is mounted with a sterling silver hinged cover decorated with a deeply-carved, acid-etched scroll design featuring a small Griffin head. The raised pedestal stand is decorated with a larger version of the same design and boasts a large Griffin head in the front of the stand and four Eagle heads in each of it's four corners. It is truly a spectacular and unusual design. A must have for any collector! Made by Gorham Mfg. Corp., Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1905. Fully Hallmarked. Exceptional Patina. Excellent Condition. The stand weighs 11 Troy ounces. The inkwell measures 3 X 3 in. and stands 3 ¾ in high. The inkstand measures 11 ½ X 7 in. and stands 1 ¼ in. high. | |||||||||||||||
