| Tetard Freres of Paris made this elegant pair of French Candelabra circa 1900. They are fully hallmarked with the French First Standard mark for Silver of 950 quality, Tetard Freres’ maker’s mark and another indistinguishable mark, probably an import mark, as these candelabra were made for export as indicated by style of the first standard mark. The candelabra are executed in the Louis XVI style, which was experiencing a revival at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. They are constructed as one piece, without detachable branches. The arms are finely decorated with leaf capped “c” scrolls, and the stems are fluted with laurel and floral swag form decoration. These candelabra are graceful in proportion and are the perfect size for any room from a small dining area to a large dining room. Total Weight: 111 Troy Ounces. Height: 18 Inches. Width across arms: 12 Inches. Condition: Very Good Original Estate Condition with a few minor imperfections due to age. | |||||||||||||||
