Redlich Sterling Silver Compote in Art Nouveau Style
Redlich & Co, New York, made this beautiful compote style sterling centerpiece bowl, circa 1900. The rims of the bowl and circular pedestal foot are decorated with bands of entwined irises, a motif popular during the Art Nouveau period. The piece is fully hallmarked on the underside with Redlichs hallmark, sterling and pattern #3216. This bowl is truly a work of art and a prime example of silver made during the Art Nouveau period. It is of very heavy gauge. Weight: 71 Troy Ounces. Diameter: 13 3/4 inches. Height: 5 Inches. Condition: Excellent.
