| c. 1840 hatbox or bandbox with Hannah Davis label. Hannah Davis(1787-1863) of Jaffrey, New Hampshire covered boxes with hand-blocked wallpaper and sold and traded them to girls and women to store hats and bonnets. Covered in nice floral paper in shades of pink and green. Inside is lined with newspaper. Label on underside of lid. Some damage to both box and paper.
