| Fantastic tall case or grandfather clock. John Clifton (died 1794), Liverpool, England. "High style" case with inset eglomise panels beneath the swan necks. Clock features fretting in the imposts. The center of this Clifton dial has a chequered design with this one being particularly complicated and well executed. Eight day brass movement with moonwork. Clock dates from 1780-1790.
