| Wonderful Majolica cake stand in the maple leaf pattern with brilliant pinks and greens and nice glaze. The base of the stand depicts the twisted trunk of a maple tree with leaves climbing to the top. The maple leaf pattern was first produced and exhibited at the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition in New Orleans in 1884 by Griffin, Smith and Company. This piece is not marked but is attributed to this company. This piece is in excellent condition with very minimal crazing and one glaze pop at the bottom of the cake stand plate (see pictures). Overall measurements are 5.5"h x 9.25" in diameter. | ||||||||||
