Gifford Beal Pen and Ink Etching Surfcaster Fisherman
Great pen and ink etching of a surfcaster fisherman in action atop a large rock at ocean's edge by National Academy artist Gifford Beal (1879-1956). Beal was born in New York City and is the son of landscape painter William Reynolds Beal. He is best known for garden parties, circuses, landscapes, streets, flowers and marine scenes. Pen and ink on paper, signed lower right. Housed in a very simple, stained wood frame, matted under glass. Dimensions: 8.25" x 12" unframed; 15" x 18.625" framed.
