| Great oil painting of a rocky coastal landscape by National Academy artist Henry Hobart Nichols Jr. (1869-1962). Nichols was born in Washington D.C. and studied art at the Art Students League before going to Paris to study at the Academie Julian. Hobart was a member and President of the National Academy. He is best known for landscapes, genre and illustrations. Oil on canvas panel, signed lower right. Housed in nice gold frame with metal plaque with artist's name and dates.
