This is a magnificent pair of Armchairs made from solid walnut by the second half of the 19th century and directly inspired of the French Regence Period more than a century earlier (1715-1723). Each elegantly and intricately embellished with floral and acanthus patterns from the arched serpentine shaped backseat and seat flanked by padded armrests to the gracefully scrolled pediment consisting of 4 charming cabriole legs. The bluish upholstery is estimated to be 10 years old and is in slight used condition. Note minor scratches and dents here and there due to the age. Circa date 1860.
