This is a very rare and handsome Cabinet handmade from solid chestnut by the end of the 16th century during the reign of Rudolph II Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. This beautifully patinaed piece of History is strongly built and was originally used for Religious worship. The upper part provides a small shelf to display, while the bottom door reveals a storage compartment with a pair of shelves. Note that the hardware is not original and estimated to be from the 18th century. Several scratches, cracks, dents due to its age but it is very sturdy and cab be used on a daily basis. A great piece for antique lovers. Circa date 1590. Dimensions 64”high/ 28”wide/ 13”deep. | ||||||||||
