This piece is typically Provencal and originally coming from the South of France, it is commonly called Buffet a Glissant by the French ( The verb Glisser is translated by the verb to slide) due to the couple of sliding doors located on the upper section and flanking the adorable pair of central arched doors, all revealing storage compartments and sitting on the large buffet below topped by a serpentine shaped top above a 4-drawer frieze upon paneled recessed doors hiding 2 large storage areas with shelves. The pediment consists of a nicely scrolled apron supported by cabriole legs on escargot feet. Minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1900. Dimensions 63"high/ 91"wide/ 22"deep.|
