This is a fantastic Gilded Mirror made during the second half of the 19th century, boasting a stunning embellishment from the pierced carved cartouche centering a shell surrounded by interlaced foliate and acanthus leaves with trellis patterns upon the intricately gadrooned arched frame enclosing the original beveled mirror. Note that a few tiny dark spots can be seen on the mirror due to the age. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 56 ¾”high/ 38”wide. | |||||||||||
