An elegantly simple and lovely patinaed bench made from solid cherry during the first half of the 19th century and originally coming from Vendee in West Central France, featuring a cream colored mattress with foliate pattern which is estimated to be a few years old, flanked by a pair of slightly scrolled armrests, all supported by lightly scrolled legs. Note minor scratches and dents here and there due to the age. Circa date 1830. Dimensions: 36"high/ 19"seat height, 67"wide/ 21"deep. | |||||||||||
