This is a lovely Grandfather clock originally coming from Provence in the South of France, made from solid oak, consisting of a 18th century case beautifully accented with floral, acanthus and tied ribbon patterns, highlighting a beginning of the 19th century Empire style mechanism (Approx 1810) with enamel face surrounded by an intricate hammered brass frame. Note that the clock is in working order, however a clockmaker might be necessary to level the mechanism. Crank, weights and pendulum are provided. The clock chimes each hour and half hour. Note several scratches and dents can be seen all around the case due to the age. Circa date 1790. Dimensions 93'high/ 16"wide/ 12"deep.|
