This is a stunning and beautifully patinaed Armoire made from solid oak by the beginning of the 18th century around the end of the reign of Louis XIV. This handsome and massive piece consists of a flat molded cornice sitting upon a straight and majestic façade featuring a pair of paneled doors highlighted by large hinges, revealing a large storage compartment with 3 shelves and standing on a sturdy pediment offering additional storage thanks to a pair of bottom drawers. Hardware is in original condition except for the lock and key, which have been replaced at some point. Note several scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1700.
