This is a magnificent second half of the 19th century Buffet made from an exquisitely patinaed walnut during the Renaissance revival period following the end of the Napoleon III era. This stunning piece consists of an upper beveled mirror standing upon the original inset Rouge Royal marble sitting upon a beautiful and intricately accented demi lune facade. This latter is boasting an impressive embellishment from the gadrooned belt featuring a pair of central drawers to the four recessed heavily sculpted panels centering a pair of doors revealing a spacious storage compartment with single shelf. Note the detailed tapered fluted turned columns completing the look. Hardware is in original and working condition. Minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. Circa date 1870-1880.
