French 19th Century Gilt Vanity Mirror
This absolutely fabulous French bronze dore 19th Century vanity mirror is a rare find and is all about luxury. An oval mirror on an elaborate base and flanked by two cherubs, one holding a looking glass, the other holding what looks like a brush. There is a cartouche to the top and garlands of flowers cascade down each side and also decorate the base. Beveled, and dating 1880 this is a treasure. From the top of the center cartouche to the bottom the mirror measures 23" in height. Each side is 20" high and the width is 14". The putti are an elegant and charming touch to this spectatular accessory that will enrich your home for years to come. I was so tempted to keep this one, its elegant and charming, great for your vanity or for that special guest bath.
