| ***SALE***REMAINING IVORIES AT COST---The intricately carved okimono, made at the Tokyo Fine Art School which was reputed to have the finest ivory carvers and carvings in the Meiji Period, depicts two chin puppies engaged in playful combat, the details extraordinarily crisp, and finite workmanship, please note that the eyes do not have inlaid shell. Length 6.875 inches, Height 2.3875 inches, Widest Width 1.75 inches, Condition excellent with no restoration, no horn eye insets. An ivory defect or possible chip to the tail (see photo below), unsigned, MEIJI PERIOD, c. 1900-10. More photos on website. | ||
