| Imperial Roman white carrera marble corbel architeural piece in complete condition not a fragment ,The corbel features sweeping lines with fish scale pattern split down the center with a rope border .The sides feature a large rosette with a S scroll pattern and finished with a delicate finely detailed flowering plant; with leafs and a thin finely rendered scrolling vine ending in stylised flowers . The condition is fantastic this was removed from the building it did not fall as there is very little damage just small chips here and there ; the piece is white but from countless years it has a gray coat of dirt on one side . This is from a deaccession sale from a mid west museum . Fine and very rare piece of ancient art . size H 10" W 7 1/4" L 19" and weighs 100 pounds . | |||||||||||||||
