Mixed/Media by Mary Jarrett deacessioned Laguna Museum

Title: A View of the Great Buddha in Kamakura. Painting was deacessioned from the Laguna Art Museum. This painting in Mixed/Media is signed at lower left and is 32" X 28" inches not including beautiful frame. Born in Seattle, WA on June 20, 1913. Jarrett graduated from the University of Washington and continued her art studies at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, Académie de la Grand Chaumière in Paris, and the Slade School in London. A spinster, she died in Los Angeles on Nov. 27, 1983. Her work includes portraits, landscapes, and oriental studies.
