Mojave Indian Pottery Effigy by Annie Fields
Old pottery female effigy jar by Mojave Indian artist Annie Fields, 1884-1971. Annie created a wide variety of pottery figures, effigies, animals and vessels in her long career at Needles, California.

The traditional pottery jar with four spouts and a handle also has two faces, they are women because of the eyelashes. Beautiful jewelry of cobalt blue seed beads and Padre beads.

This mid-century pottery figure is in very good condition, no damage or repairs. Unsigned as was all her pottery.

Buyer pays $20.00 for shipping and insurance.

Mojave and Maricopa pottery was collected by Bert Carlson of Scottsdale, Arizona, a major collector of Indian artifacts of Arizona. He began acquiring his art in about 1966, buying in galleries and at auctions and from other collectors. At the age of 92 in 2010, he divided up his collection among his three children, from whom we acquired this pottery.
