Antique Pottery Jar San Ildefonso Pueblo
Turn of the century polychrome pottery jar from San Ildefosno Pueblo, artist unknown.

8 1/2" tall by 9" diameter, this is a small olla or as some call it a child's olla.

The early slip is stone burnished and has a golden tint, the base has the red band over red slip and the same inside the neck. These are all indicators of pre-1920 pottery.

What is particularly delightful is the parade of six birds, only two are the same. They are certainly perky!

Excellent condition with no restoration, no cracks or chips, great age patina and tiny surface crazing. This small olla is a collector's dream!

Buyer pays $25.00 for shipping and insurance.
