David and Mary Tsikewa were the consummate carvers of bird fetishes at the Zuni pueblo from the 1940-70s era. With well defined carvings, especially woodpeckers and cardinals, each bird has personality. 39 birds on two strands of olivella heishe are hand carved from Zuni stone, pipe stone, serpentine, jet and white shell. 25" long, plus a pair of earrings.
