Camilio Sunflower Tafoya Seed Pot
A herd of Pronghorn frolic across the high desert on this pottery seed jar by Camilio Sunflower Tafoya of Santa Clara Pueblo. A bonnet of eagle feathers calls the rain and the sun peeks out of a storm cloud over the flowering yucca, chamisa and prickly pear.

4 1/2" diameter by 3" tall, this is a hollow ball tha ti handcrafted with native clay, stone burnished slip and pit fired.

Camilio, 1902-1995, father of Joseph Lonewolf and Grace Medicine Flower, brother of Margaret Tafoya and Christine Naranjo.

Signed and dated 1977. Perfect original condition. From the estate of Gerry and Nelle Ashton.
