Pronghorn on Seed Jar by Joseph Lonewolf
A blue sky highlights the pronghorn racing across the desert on this beautiful pottery seed pot by Santa Clara Indian artist Joseph Lonewolf.

Highly stone burnished red slip is sgrafitto carved then accented with blue and green clay slips. The mesa and chamisa add depth to the scene. Not only is Lonewolf a wonderful potter but a skilled artist of wildlife!

Signed, dated 1983, serial numbered and marked with the icon for the year, the Spider Woman cross.

Perfect original condition.
