A large natural cottonwood root is artfully enhanced to create a dancing Hilili Kachina. Created by Kevin Chavarria, our young carver from First Mesa, he studied the wood for several years before the inspiration came to him, the Hilili's dance by swaying their bodies like a snake. At 22" tall by 16" wide, this is a major wall hanging Kachina! Hilili is a guard borrowed from Zuni, aids in protection from evil. Kevin was brought to us by his Uncle Manuel Chavarria when he was barely 15 years old, he is developing into quite the artist! Buyer pays $30.00 for shipping and insurance. |
