Most graceful form of the Wedding Vase is hand crafted from native clay, stone burnished to a high shine then pit fired to black. From the Santa Clara Pueblo, circa 1930-1940, unsigned. Certainly made by a distinguished artisan. The traditional Wedding Vase stands 11" tall, 8" across the spouts and 6 1/2" diameter. Fine original condition, note the one abrasion as shown in the close up. No cracks or chips or repairs. From the estate of Orpha MacPherson, read about this interesting woman in our blog.
