Another fine piece of jewelry from the Estate of Orpha MacPherson is this 1930s era Navajo concha belt in the First Phase style. Exquisite stamping, punching and repousee enhance the dark patina silver. The ketoh style buckle is 3 1/4" by 2 3/4", has a 3/4" opening for the leather. Each of the seven conchas are 3" by 2 1/2". Apparently Orpha became a woman of some substance and had the hand crafted buttons added to the longer leather strap. Total length as is: 42", great to wear at the hips! Buyer pays $20.00 for shipping and insurance. |
