A lovely white clay wedding vase is hand crafted in the traditional way by Hopi Indian artist Joy Navasie, Frog Woman, b1919-d2012.
Joy was the second Frog Woman, earning the name when her mother Paqua passed on the early 1960s. Her daughters also use the frog symbol for the signature but add their own initials.
The graceful shape is beautifully embellished with her painted bird designs, each side is different and the bridge has a design as well.
9" tall by 5 1/4" across the spouts, fine original condition, note the tiny abrasion on each spout. This could be tidied up for a small charge.
Buyer pays $20.00 for shipping and insurance.
