Finely woven basket of willow and devils claw coiled over a grass bundle foundation by Akimel O'odham, Pima Indians, of central Arizona. This tribe of weavers are world famous for their smoothly woven and graphically designed baskets. Fine small tray measures 7 1/2" diameter by 7/8" deep, almost flat. Seven coils and twenty stitches per inch. Finished with devils claw braided rim. Mint condition, no restoration. Fine golden age patina. Buyer pays $15.00 for shipping. |
