Six coyotes border this western Apache Indian basketry tray. A double flower, or possibly an agave plant, is beautifully balanced and enhanced with the tab elements commonly found in Apache artwork. Finely woven with willow and devils claw over a three rod willow foundation, five coils and twelve wefts are smooth and even. 11" diameter by 2 1/2" deep. Excellent original condition, no missing stitches or broken coils. Great 100 year old basket! Buyer pays $20.00 for shipping and insurance. |
