Hopi Indian wicker basketry tray with the eagle, from Third Mesa. This vintage Hopi basket is from 1960s, some fade to the orange. The Eagle tray is important to the Hopi, it is a thank you for the eagle's life and gift of feathers. Note the rain band. Nicely woven wicker with plant dyes is 14 1/2" diameter.
