On offer for sale is this very rare WW2 boxed complete set of the panel clock for the Fairey Swordfish torpedo dive bomber, circa 1939. The boxed set is in original unrestored condition. The watch is in full working order. The box has the full stores and pattern ref nos. Hard plastic panel mounts, (showing one repairable crack), including the original rubber inner clock insert. The large Golay supplied watch is approx 64mm in diameter excluding the winding crown and is numbered through out 884. The dial is undamaged but a little dirty. Please see page 423 British Military Timepieces by Konrad Knirim for watch no 893, and page 424 for watch no 652 and 327. A Fairey Swordfish squadron led an attack on the German battle ship Bismark, which if i remember correctly disabled the ships steering controls.
