Sweet set of vintage Ed Levin sterling silver and pearl earrings with beautiful oxidation in the concave silver housing that surrounds the gems. An early Levin pair from his initial studio period, when the designer loved to suspend pearls or other precious stones from silver wire, very classy and elegant. The earrings measure 5/8" in diameter with the fresh-water pearls being 3/16" in diameter. The set weighs 5.7 grams and it is signed "LEVIN" and "STERLING"...

A celebrated book piece Antonio Pineda's "crescent" design is a veritable feast for the eyes in its less-is-more combination of high purity silver and glistening black onyx. Undoubtedly a classic both when it comes to vintage Mexican modernist jewelry but also for Antonio collectors, the necklace's presence is powerful and attracts the eye in a way difficult to resist. The version presented here is my favorite - the links between the individual crescents are topped with a repousse semi-sphere...

Matching the set of chubby hoop earrings also available in my inventory (please look for item no 1112606) this is a stunning Antonio Pineda modernist hinged bracelet. Very substantial but at the same time as minimalist as possible, a piece that hugs the wrist in an intimate, warm way. Measuring just shy of 7" in inner circumference, the bracelet is 1 1/8" wide and its thickness reaches 1/2"...

The epitome of mod design, a pair of Antonio Pineda chubby hoop earrings wrought in his signature 970 silver alloy - just fab! These look great with the matching hinged bracelet also available in my inventory - though as minimalist as ever possible, they have strong presence and command instant attention. Comfortable to wear and rather unusual. Earrings are 1 1/8" in diameter and approx. 7/16" wide with a thickness of about 1/4"...

One of Taxco's early maestros, Antonio Reina worked for Margot but also created jewelry that he signed with his own hallmarks. His initials "AAR" are found on pieces exhibiting craftsmanship of the highest caliber and they are almost always either copies of or based on Margot de Taxco designs. The repousse copper and silver necklace presented here is undoubtedly based on one of the great lady's creations...

I always thought of clamper bracelets as the ideal form for a maestro to showcase his mastery over the art of repoussage. Demanding in both skill and attention, the technique allows for the creation of superb pieces of jewelry because it lends itself to inventive experimentation with all three dimensions. Loosely based on designs by Margot and the Los Castillo, this is a rather unusual clamper...

Matching the necklace that is also currently available at One Good Eye Silver (you can see the set in the last photo) I suspect that this wide, gorgeous piece might be Italian since it resembles similar examples from the best lines of the Peruzzi or Coppini Bros. It is made up of crisply cast links with fruit and floral motifs whose patina adds dimension and depth to the design...

A mystery bracelet to me because I just cannot seem to decipher the signature this is a spectacular, quite substantial clamper in a rarely found size for medium to smaller wrists...

Stunning, big vintage 1950s Peruvian figural brooch bearing the signature of Italian-born Graziella Laffi, the so-called "Spratling of Peru". I believe the figure represents an Inca god, shown here with a snake coiled around his waist and holding two salamanders. The brooch is made of thick gauge silver sheet, perfectly cut and finished, with silver overlay parts and hand-chased details.
