Totally crazy, outrageously big and beyond words this is a pair of hand-crafted repousse sterling silver cufflinks made in Mexico in the 1950s-60s.
Very reminiscent of Sigi Pineda's work they feature an abstract, alien-like female figure on a stippled background and will never fail to spark interesting conversations when you have them on...
Each cufflink is 1 7/8" high by 1 1/4" wide - if this is not big, I don't know what is! - and their combined weight registers at 21 grams on a jeweler's scale.
Signed with maker's initials "JF" (the signature might be partial) as well as an impressed "HECHO EN MEXICO" "STERLING" and "925" they also bear the Eagle 1 assay mark and are in excellent vintage condition with an incredible design, gorgeous patina and mint repousse - just about perfect!
