| Classic Casa Maya necklace - and so Carmen Miranda! - from their metals and green enamels line (in my opinion, the most innovative of their designs and just so much fun). Oftentimes referred to as "The Kiss", the design features two mirrored pre-Colombian heads, one in hand-hammer copper, the second in brass, with elaborate hairdos accented by green enamels. The chain continues on the hairdo theme and adds to the piece's intense persona. The necklace is a wearable 17 3/4" long and its central part, with the two figures, is about 5 1/4" wide (this can actually vary depending on how the piece sits on the neckline) by 4 3/4" tall. Signed "MAYA MEXICO" it dates in the 1950s and is in excellent vintage condition. The matching bracelet is also available at One Good Eye Silver - if you think this piece has a high "wow" factor, imagine the two of them together...
