| The Los Castillo taller is renowned for their revival of several ancient Maya and Aztec silversmithing techniques and the breath of creative fresh air they brought into Taxco jewelry making. Their Mozaico Azteca line, in which they seamlessly combinedinlaid azur malachite with sterling silver is, in my opinion, one of their best moments. The necklace at hand, comprised of wavy links, does not rely on a fussy design to attract the eye - the richness of color in the stone and the undulating lines that bring to mind real sea waves are enough to do the trick. Measuring 14 1/4" in wearable length, a true choker size, the necklace is 5/8" wide and weighs 48.4 grams. Fully and appropriately signed with the taller's name, Eagle 16 and design no 136 it is in excellent vintage condition. The matching dangle earrings in the photos already SOLD - Thank you! | ||
