| Rare, smaller in proportions than the usual cuffs found in this design, the "Hands and Tulips" bracelet offered here is signed by Quinto. An elaboration on Spratling's signature creation, the flowers here are very stylized, represented by treardrop amethysts instead of the more often found carved tulips. Yet I love the fantastic detail in the design and the attention that went into its execution - every line is crisp and the repousse masterfully done. The dogbone ends are an added bonus - again a Spratling reminder... If you always wanted one of these but size was an issue, this is the perfect piece for you! The cuff has an inner circumference of 6 5/8" (including the 1 3/8" gap) and its width varies between 1 1/2" in the front and 5/8" at its narrowest, on the sides. It weighs 34.5 grams, is signed with maker's name as well as "STERLING SILVER" and "TAXCO" and dates in the pre-1948 period. In excellent vintage condition with some old cleaning liquid residue that shows blue in the photos but is literally undetectable to the naked eye. | ||
