One Good Eye Silver

|An early emulation of Spratling's iconic "Cocos" design, the demi presented here is an assembled set but the necklace and bracelet look so good together they make you feel they started their life in the same taller as well. Made out of heavy gauge silver sheet both pieces are carefully crafted and have substantial presence - I particularly love the double "pulsera", a treat that doesn't come up very often. If what you are looking for is classic elegance with a good dose of ethnic flair, this is a set made for you. Measuring 18" long (wearable) the necklace is 1" wide (the width of the cocos links) and it weighs a good 99.5 grams. The bracelet is 7 1/2" long (wearable) by 1 3/4" wide and its weight registers at 72.6 grams which brings the total weight for the demi up to 172.1 grams. Simply marked "STERLING" on the bracelet and "SILVER MEXICO" on the necklace, this is a pre-1948 set and in very good vintage condition with a couple of literally imperceptible impressions in the repousse spheres in both pieces. Please note that a few of the small semi-spheres in the necklace, the ones attached to the sides of the big beads have openings; this is not damage but a result of the crafting process - one of those little "imperfections" that give hand wrought Mexican jewelry their unique character.|
