DECO MEXICAN SILVER Cocos NECKLACE Spratling dsgn
SOLD - Thank you!

A perfect match for the double-wide bracelet in the same design also available in my inventory an iconic, early Taxco necklace in emulation of Spratling's classic "Cocos" design. Hand-crafted out of heavy gauge silver sheet, this is a substantial example yet it wears comfortably and keeps its place quite loyally. Definitely a necklace that can make an outfit stand out, its voluptuous links glow warmly with the patina of a well-loved and cared-for heirloom piece of jewelry. Measuring 18" long (wearable) the necklace is 1" wide (the width of the cocos links) and it weighs a good 99.5 grams. Simply marked "SILVER MEXICO" this is a pre-1948 set and in very good vintage condition with a couple of literally imperceptible impressions in the repousse spheres. Please note that a few of the small semi-spheres in the necklace, the ones attached to the sides of the big beads have openings; this is not damage but a result of the crafting process - one of those little "imperfections" that give hand wrought Mexican jewelry their unique character.
