I love Antonio crosses - most of the times, they look more like a work of abstract art than a symbol of one's spirituality. And the silver, pearl and (I believe) zoisite or chrysoprase pendant here is definitely a good example of that. Simply gorgeous, with fantastic patina and the most adorable pearls, it catches the eye with its sense of motion and the green gem at its center. I have paired it with a sterling chain by Miguel Martinez that provides a great match both in vintage as well as weight and proportions. The pendant is 3 1/8" tall (including the bail) by 1 7/8" wide and weighs 31.8 grams. The chain itself is 28 3/8" long (easily shortened, if you wish to do so) with a weight of 20.8 grams, which brings the set's total weight up to 52.6 grams. Signed as shown - the pendant with Antonio's crown mark, Eagle 17 assay mark and des. no YY 716 and the chain with Miguel's initial as well as "STERLING". Dating in the 1950s-60s (the chain could be a little earlier) and in excellent vintage condition with the patina you want to see on well-loved and cared for jewelry.
