Early Matilde Poulat cuff bracelet in her signature "Paloma" design, I have to admit that I had never encontered a cuff by Matl before. This is the match to the necklace that is also currently available in my inventory and the two look stunning together. It is getting rather difficult to find such early examples of Matilde's work not to mention a necklace and cuff of the same design together. With an inner circumference of 6 1/2" (including the 7/8" gap; perfect for smaller to medium sizes - I wouldn't advise trying to adjust too much) the cuff's band has a width of 7/8". The paloma applique itself is 1 15/16" tall by just about 2" wide. The bracelet weighs 36.8 grams and it is signed with an impressed "Matl" in script as well as "925" which dates it in the 1934-48 period. It is in excellent vintage condition with the patina you want to see on a well-loved piece of this age. There seems to be a tiny little opening in the seam connecting the paloma to the band - it is located between the bird's body and its lower talon. Very difficult, if not impossible, to locate with a naked eye.
