Bearing the initials of a still unidentified maestro whose repousse clamper bracelets are avidly sought after for their exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful design the clamper at hand is an iconic Taxco piece. Stark contrast between the glowing raised surfaces and the dark recesses on the two "wings" as well as the repousse lip that denotes the bracelet's perimeter make for an eye-catching, impressive clamper. With an inner circumference of 6 3/4" the bracelet reaches a generous 3 3/4" wide at center front which tapers down to 1 3/8" next to the hinge. It weighs 59.0 grams and is signed with initials "E.D.P." as well as "HECHO EN MEXICO TAXCO GRO 925" and "STERLING" . Dating in the mid-1940s and in excellent vintage condition with great patina and a snappy, tight hinge.
