Resting on the powerful visual effect of its angularity and the contrast between oxidized and warmly glowing silver, a signed Ed Wiener cuff bracelet in a stylized wave design. This is actually a published piece (see Milton W. Brown and Blanche R. Brown, Jewelry by Ed Wiener, p. 69) and one of the best modernist cuffs I have seen. A great example of wearable art, the bracelet has an inner circumference of 6 3 /8″ (including the 1 1/8″ gap) while its width varies between 7/8″ and 1/2″. It weighs 29.5 grams and is signed with maker's name as shown and ”STERLING”. Dating in the 1950s and in excellent vintage condition with no flaws noted, its oxidation is great shape and bearing one of the best signatures in the world of American modernist jewelry.
