Early, "unsigned" Taxco beauties are one of my passion and I am thrilled to present this stunning necklace here! I could never exaggerate the visual impact this piece has - just look at the wide links, the deep recesses in the repoussage, the accent beading, the perfect oxidation. Worthy of the best of collections, the necklace measures a wearable 15 3/4" long (quite comfortable for most of us; actual length is 16 1/8") and its width is 1 1/4". It weighs a good 68.3 grams and is simply marked "TAXCO 925" and "STERLING MADE IN MEXICO". It dates in the 1930s-early 1940s and is in excellent vintage condition with fantastic presence, great patina and no damage or repairs.
