 SOLD - Thank you!
The epitome of minimalism and abstraction, this vintage sterling silver hinged bracelet by Sigi Pineda holds a polished cab of golden sheen obsidian in a bezel setting as its only concession to luxury. Yet still the thick silver arms exude an intense sense of motion that combined with the stone's deep glow attract the eye and hold the gaze captive. The bracelet has an inner circumference of 6 1/4" (clasped; perfect for smaller wrists) while the drop of the arm holding the obsidian in the front is 2". It weighs a generous 43.5 grams and is fully hallmarked with maker's signature as shown above "TASCO" as well as "STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO", Eagle 36 and des. no 610 (I think). Dating in the 1950s-60s and in excellent vintage condition with a fabulous stone and great patina.
