An ode to texture and patina the brutalist silver necklace presented here is European - Polish or Italian, maybe? - as is attested to by the .800 alloy used to craft it. This is one of the most tactile necklaces I have had over the years - the crimped and folded surface of its links invites the touch as much as it captures the eye. It measures a very comfortable 15" (wearable; might even feel a little roomier due to the curve at center front) and its width varies between 1 1/4" and 3/16". Weighing 51.0 grams, it is marked "800" and also bears a second hallmark which is not legible to my eyes. It dates in the 1960s-70s and is in excellent vintage condition - a pleasure to wear and to behold.
