Absolutely breath-taking with its huge table-cut color-change sapphire (usually referred to as alexandrite within the field of vintage Mexican jewelry) this Carmen Beckmann ring is a real treat for the dedicated collector. The stone, which like real alexandrites changes color according to light conditions, is held in a high, terraced setting with openings that maximize the effect of light and bestow it a regal presence. Currently a sz 6.75-7 it is resizable; its face is 1 3/8" by 3/4" and rises about 1/2" off the finger when you have it on. The shank is wide and thick enough to match the proportions of the stone and the ring weighs an impressive 25.9 grams. It is fully and appropriately signed with Beckmann's name as well as "STERLING", dates in the 1960s-70s period and is in excellent vintage condition - truly stunning!
